Turmeric Facial Scrub

At the moment, my skin concerns are anti-aging, hydration, and sun spots. I recently started reading about turmeric and its benefits. Bottom line, it's a win for your skin. Turmeric contains antioxidants, which are great for anti-aging and stimulating new cell growth to improve skin elasticity. It lightens pigmentation and evens out skin tone. Turmeric is amazing for oily skin as it reduces excess oil output, and living in DC means muggy summers (and falls... and springs).

I love at home turmeric masks, I've seen some great ones on the internet, here, here, here. But with my schedule, I love when a mask comes ready to go. Hello YLLO, a turmeric scrub that requires adding water. The mix contains not only turmeric, but coconut oil (kills bacteria), chickpea flour (reduces facial hair growth), cane sugar (removes dead skin cells and dirt), sea salt (exfoliant), vitamin e oil (prevents winkles), and lemon oil (fights acne). The YLLO website lists a full run down of the different products and benefits.

I love this face mask. I've ordered it multiple times and it was a part of my skin routine for getting wedding ready. There's at least 16 masks in each packet. Don't leave it on longer then 20 minutes and I recommend using a light cleanser to remove the mask. Heed YLLO's advice when they suggest using a paper towel to dry your face after washing the mask off because it will stain towels yellow!

Did I mention YLLO is vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and 10% of their profits are donated to charities working to end child marriage around the globe?
